Brushless technology used in the Stanley 18V Li-Ion Hammer Drill, SBH20D2K-B5, provides up to 50% more runtime performance and 20% more power than drills with brushed motors that use the same battery pack. A lighter, more compact body that is up to 20% shorter in depth than a typical brushed motor drill, with increased RPM torque and tool life. For challenging tasks in hard material and for big diameter holes, hammer action for drilling into brick and masonry with a 55Nm high torque power is used. For optimum productivity and little downtime, a 1 5 Ah Li-Ion battery has almost no self-discharge and no memory effect. The battery is protected by an electronic protection system from deep drain, overloading, and overheating.
