Unique heat-reflective properties and UV-protected colours provide excellent defence against heat from infrared (IR) radiation and the harmful effects of UV rays found in sunlight. Specifically created to endure the severe weather in the Middle East, its matt finish is long-lasting, resilient, and dirt-resistant. It is a low-VOC substance that helps to cut down on how much energy is used to cool buildings' interiors. Its distinctive formulation guards against carbonation in concrete (Acts as anti-carbonation coating).

APPLICATION DATA:
Remarks:
Stir well before use. Handle with care.
The product can be applied by:
Roller: Recommended.
Spray: Use airless spray or conventional spray.
Brush: Recommended to paint corners and edges.
Guiding data for airless spray:
Nozzle tip: 0.021–0.027".
Spray angle degrees: 65–80°.
Pressure at nozzle: 140 - 190 kg/cm² (2100 psi).
Cleaning of painting tools: Water.

TECHNICAL DATA:

Typical recommended range:
Dry film thickness: 35 - 50 µm.
Wet film thickness: 92 - 132 µm.
Theoretical spreading rate 10.8 - 7.6 m²/l.
Thinner: Water.
Dilution: Maximum 10 %.

CONDITIONS DURING APPLICATION:
When measured close to the substrate, the temperature should be at least 10 °C and at least 3 °C above the air's dew point. In small spaces, adequate airflow is typically needed to ensure proper drying.

DRYING TIMES:
1. The advice given is to repaint using the same type of general paint.
2. If more than one coat is applied, the number, order, and total thickness of the prior applications applied will all affect drying timeframes.
3. Prior to applying the next layer, the surface needs to be dry and clear of any contaminants.

The drying time is measured by stated values:
Relative Humidity (RH) 50 %
Substrate temperature: 10 °C 23 °C 40 °C.
Surface (touch) dry: 12 h 4 h 2h.
Hard dry: 16 h 8 h 4 h.
Dry to over coat, minimum: 12 h 4 h 2 h.

RECOMMENDED PAINT SYSTEM:
Jotashield Alkali Resistant Primer, Jotashield Penetrating Primer, or Acrylic Emulsion Primer, 1 Coat each.
Jotashield ColourXtreme Matt 2 Coats as a topcoat.
Any substrate flaws should be fixed with Jotashield Filler or Jotashield Ultra Bond Filler, which should be followed by sanding and the cleanup of collected dust.

STORAGE:
In accordance with national standards, JOTASHIELD COLOURXTREME MATT WHITE 18LTR JOTUN must be stored. Make sure to keep the containers in a dry, chilly, well-ventilated place, away from heat sources. Containers must be kept closed at all times. Handle with caution.
